| American Legion and VFW Donations to the Marine Corps League |
Recently the American Legion, Post 108, and Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 7339 presented donations of $250 each to the Marine Corps League of Franklin, NC. These donations will be used to help support the Marine JROTC Unit of Asheville High School during an upcoming event with Marines from all over Western North Carolina. This event celebrates the 231st Birthday of the United States Marine Corps and allows the JROTC to learn first hand of U.S. Marine history and traditions from men and women who served their country proudly from the island hopping campaign in the Pacific during WWII to the current War On Terror in Afghanistan and Iraq.
