On February 7th the Marine Corps League of Franklin presented a $1400 check to members of the Veterans Memorial of Macon County. The Marine Corps League of Franklin is sponsoring the Marine Corps flag and the Marine Corps flag pole in the Veterans Memorial of Macon County. This flag and pole is one of six 30 foot U.S. service flags and poles that will be in the memorial. The American flag will fly in the center of the service flags on a 40 foot pole, and the POW/MIA flag and pole will also be present in the memorial.
