Smoky Mountain Chevrolet 5th Annual Toys For Tots Car Show
Toys For Tots was the big winner of the 5th annual Oldies Car Show and Toy Drive held Saturday at Smoky Mountain Chevrolet. The event was a great success netting over $534 in donated funds as well as two and a half truck loads of toys. Lee Cloer, Commandant of Smoky Mountain Detachment of the Marine Corp League, and Louis Slagle, Toys for Tots Coordinator for the detachment were on hand to collect and transport the toys. Storage space for the toys is being donated by Drake Enterprises in the front of the old Bryant Furniture Store directly behind the clock tower downtown.

The Marine Corps League will again take donated toys/funds this Friday night, November 21, at The Factory. Donors will receive a coupon worth 15 minutes of free game time. The Marines will be on hand from 1800-2100 hours (that’s 6-9 PM for all you civilians) to collect the donations and pass out the coupons.
